Abstract (EN)

In the study, it was aimed to examine whether the e-books prepared for preschool children in the TRT Children's Library application include basic concepts or not. The study group of the research consists of 229 e-books for preschool children in the TRT Children's Library application, which can be downloaded free of charge to smart devices. In this qualitative study based on document analysis, "TRT Children's Library E-Book Imprint Form" and "Concept Checklist" prepared by the researcher were used. In December-June 2023, descriptive analysis methods were used to analyse the data collected by the researcher. As a result, it was seen that the e-book archive examined supported the concepts in the concept list in the 2013 MEB Preschool Education Programme to a great extent. When the basic concept categories in the e-books were examined in detail, it was concluded that the concepts in the time category were the most common, followed by the concepts in the opposite, direction/location in space, emotion, number/counting, sense, size, quantity and colour categories, respectively. It was observed that the visual equivalents and in-text explanations of the concepts in the e-books examined were limited.
