Abstract (EN)

The Consumer Protection Law no. 4077 not only included the regulations which protect the consumer, but it also brought in important institutions (Arbitration Committee of Consumer Disputes and Consumer Courts) to our legal system where consumers can claim their rights. Since the subject of our study is ?Consumer Disputes and Their Solutions?, the essence of our study will be determining the scope of Consumer Protection Law and evaluating the solutions of consumer disputes. Accordingly, after determining the concept of consumer dispute, we will mention both the dispute solutions regulated in law and whether or not other resolutions which are not regulated in law are suitable for consumer disputes.First of all, we will include the term of protection of the consumers, important regulations in the law, and consumer rights in our study. Then, the scope of the Consumer Protection Law will be examined in terms of individuals and subject; and we will try to determine who and what legal transactions are covered by law.In the second part of our study, given to the consumer dispute, the consumer, the seller, consumer organizations and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce will be able to open the proceedings under this Act shall be specified.In the last section, the resolution of consumer disputes will be given broad way. In this context, the ways of solutions to be regulated in the law will be explained and apart from that, applicability of the other solutions of the disputes in our legal system will be determined.Key Words: Consumer Disputes, Resolution of Consumer Disputes, Arbitration Committee of Consumer Disputes, Consumer Courts.
