The place of football organizations to decrease variation as in seasonal demand and training staff during service period

ABSTRACT Tourism establishments have a lot of disadvantages such as unused capashy, unemployment in off seasons, changes in demand. The existence and maximum profit of accomodation establishments are based on decreasing variations in seasonal demand, so they are supposed to find out new activities to make tourism seasons longer. The aim of the study is to determine how to accommodation establishments in Antalya, Belek, Side, Kemer, Ankara, Kızılcahamam, Bolu and Gerede decrase variations in seasonal demand, by organizing football camps for teams show its effects on this matter, and also determine how they train their staff provide this service. Moreover, the aim of this study to determine what accommodation establishments do except for organizing football camps in order to avoid variations seasonal demand. Çalışmada literatür taraması yapılmış ve anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır, in the first part tourism and tourism industry, accommodation establishment and types of accommodation establishments, demand and variations in demand, reason and result of changes in demand were explained. In the second part the concept of sport tourism, dimensions of sport tourism, football organisations in Turkey and in the world and effects of football organisations and camps on regional economy were emphasized. In the third part is based on evautating and analising the data which were collected by surveys. In conclusion part frepuency table and the data which was optained by cross tables were searched. Whether there are differences among groups were determined. According to the researches, only football camp organizations are not sufficient to decrease variations in seasonal demand, so acommodation establishments should do other activities such as holding congresses, conferences, festivals and sport oranizations.
