Examination on Türk Dili magazines (1950-1955)

In this study, we have examined ?Türk Dili? monthly language andliterature magazine which was the periodical of Turkish Language Society.We have limited our study with first four series because of the wideness ofour subject.At the introduction part of our thesis, information about political,social and cultural development of era, which first four volumes of Turk Diliwas published (1951-1955), has been given. At the first chapter, Literatureenvironment of the 1950?s and the other magazines of era has beenevaluated in general structures.At the second part of our study, the formation and characteristics ofTurk Dili are focused on; furthermone; name of the magazine, it?s form andcontent?s pecularities, literary surroundings and time of publishing have beenexamined.At the first section of the third part, two different index of the first fourseries of magazine have been prepared according to the writer?s surnamesand types of Works. But at the second section, the articles participated in firstfour series of magazine have been tried to evaluate according to types andsubjects of these articles.At the conclusion part, there has been general evaluation on wholestudy. In our stdy, our basic point is the magazine itself. In addition; whileexamining these magazines, it is mentioned in bibliography that we aredirectly or indirectly benefit from book, articles and names of thesis.In our press world, there have been lots of magazines which the firstissue of it is the last issue of it. On the contrary, Turk Dili magazine,participated in our literary world constantly nearly 50 years, has aimed atextending the idea of pure Turkish and showing to be created qualifiedWorks with this Turkish. In terms of all these, it can be said that these aresignificant archives which we can easily follow the development of Turkishlanguage?s last 50 years.
