Harmonization of Turkish education system with European Union education policies

This research aims at finding out and analyzing Historical Development ofHarmonization of Turkish Education System with EU, the Activities/Actions carried out inGeneral Education, Vocational and Technical Education, Higher Education, SpecialEducation, Private Education and Informal Education in the context of integrating TurkishEducation System in to EU Education Policies during EU-Accession process.It is a descriptive work designed in survey method. The data were collected throughstudying domestic and foreign resources, analyzed within the scope of EU Education Policies,presented under various tittles and evaluated.The results show that instutional and regulatory arrangement have been made atnational level, there observed increase in number of projects applicants and beneficiariesand those actions /activities have certainly contributed to Turkish Education System-even ifin indefinite quantity. Moreover, Such accession actions should not be looked on solely asintegration measures or obligations to perform, rather they be regarded as the policiesproviding positive acqusitions (inputs) for Turkish Education System in terms of quality.
