Abstract (EN)
The increasing role and influence of social media platforms in our lives has led to the transformation of the understanding of advertising. Advertisements on these platforms continue to appear, day by day, with new types and methods. However, the fact that the legal regulations in the field of advertisement follow these changes from behind, brings along a number of legal problems and questions. In our study, legal problems arising from social media advertisements and solution suggestions regarding these problems are included. In this context, firstly, the nature and legal structure of the advertisement is discussed, and then a general framework is tried to be drawn by explaining the unique structure of social media. Finally, it has been endeavoured to reveal the problems that we faced with and to suggest solutions to these problems. The results of the study provide important clues for the solution of the legally problematic points by addressing the similarities and differences of advertisements on social media platforms with classical advertisements, analysing their unique structure and examining the regulations regarding social media advertisements.
