Turkish's actual problems

The purpose of this study is to emphasize the negative effects of the misusage of Turkish by pointing out the carelessness and defects in language use. The dissertation is composed of four main chapters: ?Spelling and Pronunciation Mistakes?, ?Mistakes relevant to meaning? , ?Language mistakes that arise from popular uses and negative effects of English expressions, ?Mistakes on signboards and billboards? ?Spelling and Pronunciation Mistakes? consists of subtitles that discuss salient pronunciation and spelling mistakes. In ?Mistakes relevant to meaning? part, meaning mistakes especially in terms of words are presented. In ?Language mistakes that arise from popular uses and negative effects of English expressions?, grammatical and syntactic structures of English that have begun to pervade the language and meaningless and illogical statements inappropriate in language, which are against the morphology and phonology of the language and are spreading by the means of the misguidance of the media, are discussed. In ?Mistakes on signboards and billboards? part, mistakes on signboards and billboards, which violate Turkish morphological and phonological rules and that can be observed frequently, are presented. In appendix, relevant examples of mistakes that have been discussed in the chapters are listed.
