Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the experienced problems in narration skills in online Teaching of Turkish as a Foreign Language and to propose solutions to these existing difficulties. In accordance with this objective, the opinions of teachers taking part in distance teaching of Turkish to foreigners were gathered about the problems they experienced. At the same time, the recommendations of the instructors for solutions to the mentioned problems were also collected. The study is significant in terms of determining the shortcomings of online education of Turkish as a Foreign Language, which became widespread during the Covid-19 epidemic. It is also gaining importance in terms of providing solutions to these problems. The study uses a phenomenological method, which is one of the qualitative research models. The data were collected using an interview form consisting of 6 questions and examined by content analysis. The results of the analyses regarding narration skills in Distance Teaching of Turkish as a Foreign Language revealed the following topics: problems related to internet infrastructure, problems related to the use of resources and materials, problems related to online education, measurement and evaluation problems, and recommendations for students and instructors. In the light of the opinions analysed, it was observed that the main problem is internet infrastructure and technical problems. Additionally, the lecturers mentioned that feedback in teaching skills could not be done to a great extent in distance education. In order to solve these problems, it is suggested that a well-developed internet infrastructure, technical equipment and applications that will enable more efficient use of narration skills should be created.
