Comparison between Turkish, American and English high school chemistry curriculums

Abstract (EN)

In this study, program development studies carried out within the field of chemistry in Turkey, England and the United States have been examined and similarities and differences have been presented as a result of the comparison between the programs. In the study especially the historical development of the chemistry curriculum programs in Turkey and the curriculum development studies conducted in this field have been examined and the differences between the changing curriculum programs have been determined in terms of content, subject and lesson hours. In another section of the study, program development studies carried out in the field of chemistry in England and the United States have been analyzed and compared with the Turkish chemistry curriculum program in terms of content, goal and attitudes. As a result of the comparison, the necessary advices and criticism have been presented in order to reorganize the curriculum program of the Turkish chemistry lesson in accordance with the differences and similarities found
