Abstract (EN)

The banking sector, which has existed in Anatolia for many years, is a customer and service oriented sector. Identity and image creation in banking, where competition is intense, greatly affects customers' preferences. The logo, which attracts attention to itself, has become one of the most important visual identity factors complementing to the trust and the service the banks provide. The context of this text is the significant changes in top ten banks' logos in Turkey and their analysis. It has been determined how these banks use design principles and elements in their logos and visual identities, what kind of corporate culture they have, and how they reflect their corporate identity in their historical process. Descriptive research model was used in this study in accordance with its purpose. The changes in the visual identities of the banks have been given in order from past to present by feeding them with the images. It has been discovered that the banks change their logos to modernize their images or announce a new partnership. Even if their emblems differ from each other, it has been seen that generally they have preferred red, blue and green as dominant branding colors.
