Abstract (EN)
This purpose of this paper is to research the barrier factors and to determine the importance order in the internet of things in businesses in Turkey. In order to realize these purposes, a mixed research method is designed. Therefore, the Delphi method is used in the first two phases, and the AHP method is used in the third phase. In the first phase, the barrier factors are assessed by the specialist participants with a 5 Point Likert Scale. In the second phase, the results of the first phase are shared with the participants, and the participants are asked to review their assessments in the first phase. As a result of the second phase, the factors with low averages among the barrier factors are taken out of the research. In the third phase, the specialist participants are asked to make a paired comparison of the barrier factors in line with the AHP method. As a result of the research, it is found that such factors as the system setup cost, the operational cost, the long payback period of the investment, the resistance of people to the changes in technologies, and the insufficiency of the internet infrastructure are found to be the failing factors on which focus is necessary.
