Abstract (EN)

One of the most importan elements in ensuring national security is intelligence. The sharing process, which is the last step of the intelligence cycle, offers utmost importance for the effective and efficient use of intelligence. In this study of intelligence sharing between Turkey's security institutions, firstly intelligence and intelligence sharing process is discussed on a theoretical perspective. Then, legistlations, task areas, intelligence types which they produce and personel educations of the security institutions in Turkey was examined.The main findings show that; current legislation of security institutions in Turkey, bureaucratic culture, competition, confidence, individual decisions and electronic sharing systems cause intelligence sharing issue.
