Comparison of the chemical and organic contents of some plant nutrition products used in Turkey with the results of the analysis to be carried out within according to the legislations related to label declarations

This study was carried out to compare the chemical and organic contents of the fertilizers, which are frequently used in Turkey, on the basis of the contents guaranteed by the producers on product labels, considering the results of the analyzes performed according to the standard methods. For this purpose, 69 different fertilizer samples which are commonly used in Turkey were collected from the market. The examined fertilizers in the research were consisted of single plant nutrient, composite, micro plant nutrients, chemical additive organic structures, dry and liquid forms, selected from the group of fertilizers in chemical and organic structure. A total of 269 analyzes were performed on the samples. According to the findings obtained from the research results; contents of macronutrients in the fertilizers were in harmony with the sufficiency levels declared in the regulations as compared to micronutrient contents. Micronutrient contents of the fertilizers were not sufficient the values implied on the label as compared to the other types of fertilizers.
