Abstract (EN)
S" Investigating of Relations Between Coast and Land Ownership in Turkey : a Case Study Highway of Trabzon Shore Transition Coastal areas are the most variable units among the various kinds of region on earth. Especially during the last 25 years, coastal areas of Turkey are under an intensive restraint associated with a population press due to the internal and external touristic demand. In addition to this, settlements, the high-ways constructed to overcome the traffic problem and the other applications clearly show that our coastal region are under an intensive restraint. In recent years, most of these shorelines have been settled up by public sectors, tourism and time off housing purposes behind legal land use. It was understood that the coast has not been used for public benefits because of constitutional law. In this thesis firstly; almost 26 settlement areas examples which are mostly on the city level and on shore line have been examined by zonning planning management perspective. Ratio of common use area, settlement area and public organizations were determined by the using of Netcad programme. Developing information technologies like Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Digital Photogrammetry considerably support managerial decision making process to manage spatial information. The management of Coastal areas is an important issue to prevent effects of environmental changes. Secondly this thesis introduces an efficient method to monitor environmental changes using a difference approach for images taken from the same geographical location but at different times. Indicate that digital photogrammetry is an effective approach for monitoring coastal land use status of large area. In this thesis, aerial photographs obtained were used to investigate the coastal land use status in the study area which located from Yıldızlı to Yalıncak in Trabzon. Thirdly; two pilot areas located along the east coasts of Trabzon have been chosen for experimental work. And Relations between land ownership and shore border line were determined using Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies. As a result, it has been found that, the coast has not been used for public benefit, which is due to violates constitutional law. Violations are due to both public organizations and citizens. This study shows that using the technique of digital photogrammetry seems promising for detecting changes in the coastal zone. Key Words: Coast, Coastal Line, Shore Border Line, Coastal Region, Land Ownership, Public Benefit, Shore Line (Buffer Zone), Geographical Information Systems, Digital Photogrammetry VII
