The effects of the development in logistics services on export led growth in Turkey

The effects of the development in logistics services on export led growth are investigated in this study. Theorical background is stated in first chapter. Then, the basic information on logistics and logistics services are given. The development process in logistics services and the sector are investigated in the global scale then, Turkey scale in second chapter. The econometrical base of the relations between logistics-export and economic growth is set by examining the Turkish foreign trade volume by years. Econometrical analysis has done on this database. The findings derivated from the analysis are annotated. In conclusion, no relation can be found between logistics sector and export in short run but, in long run a Granger casuality relation from logistics sector to export is found. In addition, a Granger casuality relation between logistics sector and export led growth is found in long run.KEYWORDSThe development of logistics in Turkey, logistics ? export ? growth relations.
