The impact of logistics industry on foreign trade Turkey

In this labour, the impact of logistics industry on foreign trade is investigated. At the first part of the search, the basic knowledges are included about the logistic and the foreign trade. At the second part of the study, logistic system and the foreign trade situation are investigated in Turkey and in the world. While on the third part, as using monthly datas January of 2000-December of 2019 , the variance separation and the action and reaction analyses are made by creating the " Var" " Available" model suitable for Turkey's foreign trade, forms of logistic transportation and industrial production index. According to the result of econometrical analysis, it is concluded that there is a close relationship with all forms of the foreign trade logistic transportation and industrial production index. In general, a foreign trade variable has been given a positive reaction to the given shocks for a railway, seaway, airway, highway and an industrial production index. The result of Variance Decomposition analysis indicate that foreign trade has been second most significant explanatory factor when a shock is given to the various transport modes, including railway, seeway, airway and highway variables.
