Abstract (EN)

Turkish Communities located out of Turkey have participated in plenty of activities in order to protect and keep their culture and identity alive under the political organization they dependent on. To express themselves and to remain their connections with Turkey, these people have deployed newspapers as being the most effective mass communication tool of the era. Turks living out of the south border of Turkey have organized such activities in the regions they live in. The Turkish newspapers "Yeni Irak" in Baghdad, "Vahdet" in Halep and "Doğru Yol" in İskenderun have been published. Via these newspapers Turkish Communities have closely followed the events occurred in the world, in Turkey and around them. Moreover they have been strengthening their ties with Turkey by this way. In this study, seventeen issues of Yeni Irak, Vahdet and Doğru Yol published in 1934 have been examined, indexed according to their subjects and the news summaries have been stated.
