Abstract (EN)

Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is a plant pathogenic fungus that causes significant problems in vegetable cultivation, and many fungicides known to be effective and licensed are available both in Turkey and in other countries as commercial plants protection products (CPPs). In this study, the efficacy of commercial BKUs including 70% Thiophanate Methyl of five different companies with WP formulation and currently licensed(Ankit, Camada, Copcide, Rage, and Sumitop) in Turkey were investigated against S. sclerotiorum. The doses investigated in the study were 600 ppm, which is the general use dose for all fungicides, 300 ppm which is half of the usage dose., 1,0 ppm, 0,50 ppm, and 0,25 ppm At the end of the study, all fungicides prevented as 100% the mycelial growth of S. sclerotiorum in Petri dishes at 600, 300 and 1 ppm doses. The efficacy differences between fungicides were 0,50 and 0,25 ppm doses were found. The Mycelial growth inhibition rates of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum of 0,50 ppm fungicides were determined as 60,3%, 72,8, 75,5, 93,3, and 100,0 for Copcide, Ankit, Camada, Sumitop, and Rage, respectively, 2 days after inoculation. This efficacy was found to decrease in some CPPs 5 days after inoculation and were 5,9%, 21,8, 33,8, 85,0 and 100,0 for Copcide, Ankit, Camada, Sumitop, and Rage, respectively. No statistically significant difference was found between the rates of inhibition of mycelial growth of S. sclerotiorum at 2 and 5 days after inoculation at 0,25 ppm doses of the fungicides. The most significant differences between the fungicides used in the study in inhibiting the mycelial growth of S. sclerotiorum were found at 0,50 ppm doses and on the 5th day of fungus inoculation. So, the most effective fungicides were determined as Rage (100%) and Sumitop (85%).
