Comparison of elementary science curriculum of Turkey, Singapore and Kazakhstan

Comparative education is important for recognizing the education systems of different countries, bringing new practices into the education system and ensuring educational equality among the societies. In this study, education systems of Turkey, Singapore and Kazakhstan are investigated. The science curricula of the three countries have been compared in terms of their general objectives, processes and skills, learning areas, measurement and evaluation approaches and achievements. This is a comparative educational survey with a horizontal approach in terms of the study theme. The science curricula of the three countries is used as a data collection tool. As a method of analysis, document analysis is chosen. According to the results of the research, the curricula of three countries have similarities in terms of general aims and process-skills, meanwhile in terms of the learning areas, measurement and evaluation approaches and achievements, they reflect differences.
