Abstract (EN)
As it is known, data on the agricultural census conducted in our country since 2001 are not available. In the periods after 2001, the micro data set obtained from TUIK can be used. However, there are some limitations brought by the micro data set obtained from TURKSTAT. Within the framework of these restrictions, it has been tried to reveal the characteristics of those who lease their agricultural land. The aim of this study is to reveal the characteristics of land owners who rent their agricultural lands in Turkey with tenancy, which is one of the forms of land saving, to better understand and group these behaviors. Within the scope of the study, Household Budget Survey data collected by TURKSTAT were used. The focused time period is based on agricultural land owners between the years 2012-2019. The total number of data observations is 88858. However, the total number of data observations is 24036 by taking the people who own agricultural land during the analysis. In this context, while examining the variables and data, descriptive statistics were applied in SPSS based on only the individuals who own agricultural land. Accordingly, there has been a decrease in the proportion of individuals who own fields in our country, while there has been an increase in the ownership of vineyards and greenhouses. In addition, there was an increase in the number of individuals who leased their agricultural land during the analysis. It is thought that these results obtained from the study will constitute an important data source for future research.
