Morphological, anatomical and palynological studies on Quinqueloculares (Boiss.) phitos section species of the genus Campanula L. (Campanulaceae) growing Turkey

Phitos (CAMPANULACEAE) SEKSİYONU TÜRLERİ ÜZERİNDE MORFOLOJİK,ANATOMİK ve PALİNOLOJİK BİR ÇALIŞMAEmine ALÇITEPEABSTRACTIn this research, the morphological, anatomical, palynological characteristics,identification key and descriptions of the species and geographical distribution ofQuinqueloculares (Boiss.) Phitos section?s species beloging to genus Campanula L. in Turkeyare given.First of all, related literatures were obtained. By utilization of these literatures,Quinqueloculares section which exists on the earth was established and areals of them weremapped. Most of the specimens were collected from different regions of Turkey. Others weretaken on loan or as gift from established. Also the best and constant characters of the specieswere selected for descriptions and keyed out. A table is prepared for this purpose. We havedrown figures of some species.In the anatomical studies the anatomies of roots, stems and leafs, of taxa areinvestigated. In the palynological studies, polens of taxa are examined in the light and scanningelectron microscope (SEM) and the differences between the morphology of pollens aredetermined. The pollen type in the members of section is spheroidal. The pollen is triporate andornemantation is generally echinule. As a result of this study, in the Flora of Turkey, themembers of the Quinqueloculares (Boiss.) Phitos section represented by 10 species, 11 taxawere evaluated under 13 taxa. In addition it is observed that. The taxa of C.lyrata subsp. icaricaRunemark&Phitos and C.nisyria Papatsou&Phitos do not growed in our country. It is determinedthat the taxa of C. vardariana Bocquet and C. karadjana Bocqued species imperfectly know orsuspected in Flora of Turkey.KEY WORDS : Campanula, Quinqueloculares, Morphology, Anatomy, Palinology.
