Abstract (EN)

In this study, seven species belong to genus Achillea L. (A. santolinoides Lag. subsp. wilhelmsii (K. Koch.) Greuter, A. falcata L., A. magnifica Hub. - Mor., A. gypsicola Hub.-Mor., A. pannonica Scheelee, A. crithmifolia Waldst. and Kit., A. nobilis subsp neilreichii (A. Kern.) Formánek) in growing Turkey were investigated in point of karyologic and cytotaxonomic. Investigated species were placed in Babounya and Achillea sections. The seeds of Investigated seven species (A.santolinoides, A. falcata, A. magnifica, A. gypsicola, A. pannonica, A. crithmifolia, A. nobilis ) were used for chromosomes analysis. The countings and measurements of somatic chromosomes of this species were made. The chromosome numbers in A. gypsicola were found as 2n=36 and in other species 2n= 18. It was determined that the chromosomes had median point (M), median region (m), or submedian (sm) centromeres.Key Words: Achillea, Asteraceae, Chromosome numbers, Cytotaxonomy, Karyotype
