Examination of Tûtinâme in terms of root values

The aim of the research is to examine how the root values (justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism and benevolence) in Tûtîname, a prose folk product in which fairy tales and stories are synthesized, and the sub-values connected to these values are transferred. and to determine the appropriateness of using Tûtî-nâme as a material in teaching values education with an effective language and social method. In addition, which methods are used in the transfer of values in the work and how often the values are processed are among the sub-objectives of the research. In this study, as the study material, the manuscript registered in the Konya Regional Manuscripts Library in the archive number 42 Kon 3739 was examined. Document analysis was used as the method in the data collection process, while descriptive and content analysis methods were used in the analysis of the data. After the work was translated into today's alphabet, the stories in the work were first summarized, then divided into episodes, which is the smallest action unit, and the messages to be conveyed in each story were determined. How the values were processed was determined in the stories and the findings were interpreted by supporting the quotations from the work. A total of 39 root values and sub-values were determined in 75 stories. In the work, the values of honesty, self-control, love, benevolence, responsibility, patriotism and friendship are mostly processed. Values of respect, justice and patience were less common. It has been determined that Tûtî-nâme, which sheds light on the culture and social life of the period in which it was written, will contribute significantly to value education with the tales and stories it contains and many of these stories can be included in the textbooks.
