THE COMPARISON OF MORPHOLOGICAL AND GENETICCHARACTERISTICS OF ?TÜYSÜZ BEYAZ ŞEFTALI? TYPES WITHIMPORTANT PEACH AND NECTARINE CULTIVARSABSTRACTThis study was carried out at Bayramic county and Evciler village of Canakkale.Morphological, pomological, and genetic features of ?Tüysüz Beyaz Şeftali? typesgrown as landraces were investigated. In addition, types founded significantly differentamong the population were compared with the important standard peach and nectarinevarieties grown at Canakkale.?Tüysüz Beyaz Şeftali? types have similar tree phenotypes compare to peach andnectarine varieties but their fruit and genetic features are significantly different thanpeach and nectarine fruit and genetic features. In this study, 15 individual were selectedamong the ?Tüysüz Beyaz Şeftali? population based on their different morphologicalfeatures, and their average canopy valume, average fruit production for per individual ,and average fruit size were measured as 6,43 m3 , 23,53 kg, 49,92 g, respectively.Statistically important differences were determined among selected types for fruitweight, fruit size, firmness, total soluble solid content and seed weight parameters. Moreover, yield per tree varied among individuals. The obtained results of this M.
