Abstract (EN)

In this study, which was carried out in University of Çukurova, Department of Horticulture, morphological characterization of species and varieties of oranges and mandarins were investigated. During this investigation, rootstocks, branch structure, tree size, canopy volume and leaf characteristics of fruit trees and weight, peel structure and characteristics, flesh structure, juice content, acidity and seed structure and characteristics of fruit were observed. Furthermore, 11 different characteristics of trees, 13 of flowers, 28 of fruits, 14 of leaves, and finally 7 different characteristics of seeds were researched. Some of findings belonging this study are; among local oranges, Finike Yerlisi and among Jaffa oranges, A 22 N differed from other species and cultivars. Göbek göcek oranges, which is located in Navel orange group, differed from other cultivars depending the highest of branches denses, Sanguine Grosse Ronde, which is located in Blood orange group, differed from other cultivars depending the lowness of its rootstock diameter. Also Antalya Kleopatra mandarin differed from other mandarins because of its high canopy value and low fruit weight.
