Abstract (EN)
This study has been arranged in order to examine the reflection of Cypriot Turkish Peace Operation or Cypriot War, which took place in Cyprus geography in 1974, on poems and legends by wandering minstrels and Turkish popular poet -singer, thus, in order to indicate that epic originating from the social history for science of history is one of the most important documents. It is believed that the data that has been obtained after the researches planned to be conducted in this study may contribute a better understanding of the close relationship between the history of science and the epic, and the presentation of this relationship may also contribute to historians who will handle this operation in the future. The existence of a close relationship between history and epic is obvious. Every event that spread to the History brings lament for dead, an epic written after the incident. This study has indicated the reflections of the experienced ones both on the geography and environment, by examining such products that have been put forward from a historical point of view. It has also put forward at the same time that epics have a historical character and that it has enabled them to fix the consciousness being source for the social history. Information with regard to the Turkish epic tradition has been provided for the purpose of the conceptual and theoretical background of the subject, in the first part of the study, and the historical process of the minstrel literature has been scrutinized. The relationship between the disciplines of literature and history has been emphasized, and the argument has been supported with the examples from reflections of this relationship specific to the Cyprus Peace Operation. It is inevitable that the Cyprus Peace Operation, which is one of the important break points in the historical regard, has caused an echo in the social level. The abovementioned reflection has come to be visible in various art disciplines, it has also indicate itself in the literary examples in which this visibility can be identified in the most intense and clear way. In the second part, the poems of the various minstrels have been examined with the methodology of literature and the equivalents of the historical reality point will be determined. In the conclusion section, a general evaluation have been made and the findings and analyzes have been included. The method to be applied in the study has been the literature review. The written books, journals, thesis in relation to the works themed 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation of wandering minstrels, Turkish popular poet –singers in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey, have been examined. Furthermore, reviewing of poems included in the periodical publications such as newspapers, journals in 1974 and within the years thereafter have been made.
