Investigation of occupational and organizational commitment levels of paid classroom teachers

Abstract (EN)
This research; the level of organizational and occupational commitment of paid classroom teachers; It was conducted to reveal whether organizational and occupational commitment have changed according to demographic characteristics and whether there is a relationship between organizational commitment and occupational commitment. The research is a descriptive study in the correlational survey model. As the universe, paid classroom teachers working in Mardin province were determined. 251 paid classroom teachers were selected as samples. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), t test was used to analyze the data obtained in the research, and LSD test was used to determine which group the difference originated in ANOVA. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to reveal the relationships between organizational commitment and occupational commitment. As a result of the research, affective, contiunance and normative commitment of paid classroom teachers is at a medium level. Classroom teachers' occupational commitment is at the medium level.Affective commitment was changed by teachers; age groups, graduation, marial status and class size. Continuance commitment was changed by teachers; seminar status, graudation, age groups, seniority and class size. However normative commitment didn't changed by teachers discused variables. Teachers occupational commitment was changed by; gender, age groups, marital status, graudation. There is a positively low level of meaningful relationship between the occupational commitment and affective commitment of paid classroom teachers. However there isn't significant relationship between occupational commitment and continuance commitment and normative commitment. In the research, it is suggested to conduct studies to increase the organizational and occupational commitment of paid classroom teachers depending on the outcome and discussion framework.
