Thesis)Hakan Yüksel BALGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2006ABSTRACTIn this work, feasibility of heating using the third harmonic in an inductionfurnace has been researched. In order to trigger the third harmonic theresonance frequency has been taken to be three times the circuit switchingfrequency. The used inductance and capacitance values have been calculatedaccording to the third harmonic frequency and so the third harmonic has beenmade effective in the circuit.
