Abstract (EN)
This thesis examines external costs of transport. An economical analysis of accident costs for Turkey has also been made under the scope of the thesis.First section deals with external costs on conceptual level, it is then followed by analysis of economic inefficiency in the existence of externalities. Internalisation policies on Turkey and European Union levels are also examined in the same section.Theoretical models of identifying external cost of accidents and economical analysis of accidents in Turkey constitute last two sections of the thesis.
