Abstract (EN)
A Retrospective Analysis of the Diagnostic Stability of the Patients Followed by Uludağ University Medical Faculty Mental Diseases Policlinic The aim of this study was to evaluate the long-term stability of the most common psychiatric diagnoses according to ICD-10 in Uludağ University Medical Faculty Mental Diseases Policlinic and to determine the factors affecting the diagnostic change. In this study, 1435 patients who received at least second application to Uludağ University Medical Faculty Mental Diseases Policlinic and diagnosed one of the diagnostic groups prepared for the study in the ICD-10 diagnostic system were included. Data of each patient were retrospectively screened and the information obtained was recorded in Sociodemographic Data Form and File Follow-up Form. In conclusion, the highest diagnostic consistency rate in this study was found in Psychotic disorders and the lowest diagnostic consistency rate was found in the schizoaffective disorders diagnosis group. When the risk factors affecting the diagnosis change investigated; it was found that only the diagnosis of the patient affected the risk of diagnostic change. The chronic and devastating course of schizophrenia and related disorders suggest that there is a greater likelihood of higher diagnostic stability. However, the uncertainty in the diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder indicates that the diagnostic criteria for defining this patient group are ineffective.
