Abstract (EN)

This study examines the security problems of Syrian immigrants and individuals under temporary protection in Turkey from the perspective of the Aberystwyth School. Türkiye has hosted more than 3 million Syrian immigrants since the start of the Syrian civil war in 2011. With the understanding that the refugees, who were initially planned to stay for a short time, will stay in Turkey for a long time, the social, economic and security problems faced by both Syrian immigrants and the Turkish people have become more visible. As a result, this study addresses the security problems of Syrian immigrants and local people in Turkey from a broad perspective, emphasizing that non-state actors and the international community should play a more active role in ensuring the security of immigrants and supporting their social integration.
