Abstract (EN)
Cavitation in ship propellers is a fluid physical phenomenon which affects the hydrodynamics performance and life span of ship propellers and causes underwater noise and vibration on hull. Therefore, it is important to reduce the cavitation?s effects to environment and propeller during design stage of ship propeller. It is showed that a precision method is necessary to determine when the cavitation can occur. Making cavitation analysis requires time and cost in an experimental environment. Thereof, different numerical modelling methods which is an alternative to experimental methods, are developed as the development of computer technology correspondingly.Due to time-depent changes of cavitation volumes, sheet cavitation is caused a vibration on hull and an erosion on propeller blades mostly. For this reason at this paper, sheet cavitation will be investigated based on lifting surface method which is one of the mentioned modelling methods. With this present paper is aimed an easy and fast control of the sheet cavitation and propeller performance before ship propellers production.
