Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between university students' academic achievement, test anxiety and parental attitudes. The research sample consisted of 293 university students (147 female, 146 male) studying at the associate, undergraduate and graduate departments of the Istanbul Gelisim University. In the study, personal information form prepared by the researcher, "Parental attitude scale", ''Westside Text Anxiety Scale'' (developed by Driscoll,2007 and adapted to Turkish by Totan and Yavuz, 2009) were used. SPSS program was used to analyze the data. According to research results; exam anxiety of university students differs significantly according to academic achievement and marital status of the parents. Parental attitude perceived by university students differs significantly according to academic achievement, gender, age, place of residence and class level. In the study, a positive and significant relationship was found between test anxiety and authoritarian parental attitude. On the other hand, a significant negative correlation was found between test anxiety and democratic parental attitude and protective-willing parental attitude. Keywords: Academic Achievement, Exam Anxiety, Parental Attitudes
