This research was conducted in order to examine the effect of maternal and paternal attitudes on the mate selection strategies of university students and couple adaptation. For this purpose, the screening model was preferred as the research model. The sample of the research was composed of students studying at Gelişim University within the borders of Istanbul province in the academic year of 2022-2023, while the sample group was composed of 400 students who were randomly selected for the universe and volunteered to participate in the research. In the collection of research data, 'mom - and-pop attitude scale', peer selection strategies to measure Peer selection strategies Inventory, to measure marital adjustment 'Dual scale harmony' for the information created by the researcher and the participants 'personal information Form' has been used.
