Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive effect of obsessive beliefs on fear of happiness among university students. After obtaining legal permissions; The research was applied to undergraduate students whose faculty consists of 2901 students. Sample of the research; There are 395 university students. The research model is the general relational survey model. In this research, 5 items "fear of happiness scale" and 44 items "obsessive beliefs scale-44" and 9 items demographic information questionnaire were used. SPSS 22.0 statistical package program was used in the analysis of the obtained data. In the analysis, t-test, one-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA), kruskal wallis-h test, mann whitney-u test, sidak, LSD, pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise linear regression were used. In the interpretation of the results, 0,01 significance level was used for correlation values and 0,05 significance level was used for other analysis results. According to the findings; There was a statistically significant positive relationship between total fear of happiness scale scores and three subscale-obsessive beliefs scale scores of obsessive beliefs scale. The control subscale was not a significant predictor of fear of happiness.
