Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to figure out and analyze the relation between the leisure time habits and the popular culture activities of the university students. Accordingly, the research was done on a chosen sample group representing Anadolu University. The study aimed analyzing the relationship between social and economic conditions of the students and families, the occupations and educational levels and leisure time habits of the families, their popular culture habits and attitude towards the popular culture.One of the important results of the survey is that many students who consider the effects of the popular culture unfavorable have, in fact, been influenced by the popular culture and are involved in such activities one way or another in their daily lives.
