Individual pacularities of psychological resistance of university students and study of its relations with different attachment types

In literature, the term resilience (psychological resistance) considered to be effective on preventive mental health is the main variable in this study. In this study, what has been aimed is to examine the relation with individual peculiarities of psychological attachment and different attachment types of university students. The sample population of the study have been chosen among the university students studying at different faculties in Gaziantep and Kayseri. In the end of the study has a significant statistical relation been determined between psychological resistant level and attachment styles. A significant relation between psychological resistant level and personality traits has been observed. Psychological resistant level has differed significantly between male and female students. When the patterns showing the partial relationship of predictor variables and dependent variable have been examined, it has been observed that there is a linear and positive relationship between extraversion, adaptability, responsibility, emotional stability, secure attachment, intimacy and psychological resistance, a dependent variable. Finally, it has been found out that there exists a linear and negative relationship between fearful attachment and anxiety, which are two of the predictor variables, and psychological residence.
