Higher education institutions contribute to the development of the city and the country in many ways. Higher education institutions contribute to the society, to increase the welfare of the society and to contribute to the development of the province in an economic, social and cultural way. Among the educational institutions, universities and universities have the highest contribution to the economy of the province and the country. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Bitlis Eren University on income and employment. The study prepared for this purpose consists of four parts. In the first chapter, the definition of education, the open functions of education, social, economic, individual, political and philosophical functions have been opened. In the second section about the history of higher education in Turkey are given. In the third chapter, the history, academic, administrative units, social facilities, departments and number of students of Bitlis Eren University are given. In addition, the analysis of the survey conducted online is also done in this section. As a result of the study, Bitlis Eren University has a total employment of 868 people in total, including 671 direct employment and 191 indirect employment. It has been determined that it provides direct income contribution of TL 19,859,062 and indirect income of TL 112.872,976.
