Corporate mobile applications: Mobile application review of Süleyman Demirel University

With the development of technology, communication is mostly provided by mobile devices. Mobile applications, which are one of the benefits of this communication network, are shaped according to almost every field, subject and need. Mobile applications, whose content changes according to different demands, aim to reach the users within the institutions. An educational institution prefers mobile applications to reach both its staff and students. Even if mobile applications that can be shaped according to the needs of their users are strong in terms of content, they do not remain up-to-date in terms of design, and design approaches that are not attentive do not appeal to users. As important as the content is, the design element/element choices that present it also play an important role. When the information is not done correctly, the information becomes unimportant, and when the designs are not careful and original, the designs that we can see as the language of information become unable to convey information. The purpose of the designer here is to reinforce the information with careful and original designs and to arouse attention in the user. For this reason, in the process of conveying information accurately and accessibly, the correct use of qualified design elements and design elements / principles suitable for the corporate identity and motivation of the institution should be ensured. It is aimed to increase the user experience positively with visual selections suitable for the purpose. For this reason, mobile interface designs applied in universities in Turkey cannot receive feedback in terms of user experience. In this study, the development phase of the application is conveyed through user experiences. In addition, mobile application designs developed by state universities are discussed in the research and Süleyman Demirel University mobile application design is analysed. It is aimed to increase the user experience by bringing solutions to the problems encountered. SDU mobile application was designed in accordance with the current design approach. Unlike other university mobile application designs examined, SDU mobile application, which is seen to be original, maintains its actuality by speaking the same design language with the social media application designs that are widely used today.
