Enrichment of uranium with mineral processing methods

This study is composed of two parts which are theoretical and experimental. First part, including theoretical knowledge was told in the second and third chapters. Second chapter is comprised mainly of physical and chemical structure of uranium, uranium history, utilizations of uranium, uranium minerals and their origins, uranium deposits in the World and Turkey, production prosesses and companies producing uranium and related products. Third chapter was equiped with the knowledge which would back up the experimental part. Information was given about roasting, acidic leaching, alkaline leaching and liquid-solid separation and due to this section, experiment parameters were clarified. The results of the experiments are presented in the fourth chapter. This chapter includes sampling, sieve analysis tests, determination of uranium ore mineralogy, ICP tests and leach tests after roasting and microwave irradiation of the ore.
