Evaluation of Jordanian national electricity grid

Today, the energy becomes among the important studied topics in the world. Countries work towards increasing the use of available energy in efficient way as well as the new discoverd sources of energy.Jordan is one of the countries in which these studies have gained significant speed.In recent years, very serious investments have been made in Jordan belongs to this field and many laws put in place, and corporate structure were tried to be created.As a whole these studies are carried out to increase the quality of the available energy in a manner to reach to the user in the most economical and most efficient way.İn Electrical energy concept, electricity power produced by plants until it reaches to the consumer it faces inevitable variety of power lossesOne of these power losses reasons is reactive power ,This reactive power is null power for loads but it must be consumed from the source power ,by making Compansation for reactive power we increase the use of this power in efficient way ,reduce the losses in the Electrical grid and increase the power quality of the Electrical grid.in addition to achieve desired voltage and to get ideal power factor, studies have carried out on various systems in order to improve power quality .Inside power quality parameters Harmonics rise to have the biggest disruptive impact on Power factor in harmonics, various systems of filtering have been developed, which is in this way ideal level of power usage tried to be providedWe as a priority in this thesis under such heading like power quality, harmonics, compensation and power factor correction ,we collect general information concerning to the given topics , Later on we mention the development of the national network's in Jordan from the establishment until the present day.In the last chapter and in terms of power quality, evaluating of national grid in Jordan was done, the results of our investigation and the recommendations was presented.
