Abstract (EN)

Numerical Investigation of Flow and Heat Transfer in A Duct with Obstacles Mounted Upper Surface and Undulated Bottom Wall In this study laminar flow and heat transfer in a duct mounted two blocks to the duct upper surface is numerically investigated. Two blocks simulated electronic components are subjected to a uniform heat flux. 250 W/m2 constant heat flux over the blocks surface is assumed. The lower and upper surface of the duct is insulated. Air (Pr = 0.718) is used as the working fluid and enters the channel with a uniform velocity. Computations are performed for different Reynolds numbers (Re = 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500). The problem was considered as steady state, incompressible, two-dimensional for laminar flows cases. The wavelengths and wave amplitude of sinusoidal surface of the duct is varied from 0.02 to 0.08 during the analysis. Obtained results have been presented as velocity vector, local and mean Nusselt numbers, friction factor and shear stress with temperature and pressure contours in detail. Keywords: Laminar flow, Undulated surface, Nusselt number, Friction factor
