Abstract (EN)

Composite materials are one of the newest and most popular fields of study in material science. Composite materials are called new and superior materials which are formed by combining at least two materials at macro level with various methods. With the studies carried out in this field the various of the components of composite materials, the number of production methods and the number of usage areas increase. This increase has led to the need to compare this variety in order to choose the appropriate method and appropriate material. In this thesis, hybrid composite materials using nanoparticle alumina added epoxy resin in matrix phase and glass and carbon fibers in reinforcement phase, were produced by vacuum infusion method. A total of three specimens were produced in three different number of layers, 3, 5 and 7 layers. In order to learn the mechanical properties of these specimens, charpy impact test, tensile test and resin burn off method applied. The results of these experiments are given in tables and graphs. Finally, SEM images of the specimens were taken in order to perform damage analysis. With these findings, data and images, the results of the mechanical properties and damage analysis of the hybrid composite materials produced were obtained. Mechanical properties seem to improve in proportion to the increase in the number of layers.
