Abstract (EN)
To climate a place, solar assisted ground source heat pump was designed. A water to water heat pump was selected because heating and cooling will be provided by using fan-coils. Hourly outdoor temperatures and hourly solar radiation values for Mardin city were obtained from Meteorology Management. Heat losses and gains were calculated hourly. While designing soil heat exchanger, vertical type was preferred because of horizontal pipe length?s being too long. Run factors were calculated using both Bin method and hourly method. Their results were compared. Solar energy system was used in two ways: direct heating and heating the water which returns to heat pump. Furthermore, multi cooling and heating (for four homes) was investigated by using same method. But for this time, the equipment of systems were redesigned and reselected. Finally, investment and operational costs of these two different systems were calculated. Also, costs for the same house calculated while using a boiler and chiller for heating and cooling. As a result, costs of these four different systems were compared. Keywords: Ground source heat pump, solar energy, run factor, cost analysis.
