Abstract (EN)
Effect of the ratio of supported area on free and forced vibration properties ofviscoelastically supported anisotropic plate is examined in the thesis. Thefundemantal frequency of the plate is an important parameter for theengineering designs. So, its variation is examined according to the supportedarea ratio (the percentage of the supported area over the plate area),mechanical properties of the material and translational spring coefficient ofsupports. For different damping coefficients and supported area ratios, steadystate response of viscoelastically supported plates is calculated numerically. Byusing natural frequency parameters and steady state responses to asinusoidally changing force, numerical solution are done to observe the effect ofsupported area ratio. Formulations are formed using energy based finitedifference method to solve numerical solutions in the concept of hypothesis. Results indicated that the effect of supported are ratio is important for thedynamic properties of the system. Keywords: Damping, energy based finite difference, anisotropic, steady state, viscoelastically, varying supported area.
