Analytical bibliography of Turkology studies at the Library of the University of Vienna

In this study, Turkish studies within the Vienna University Library have been analyzed and classified analytically. Our thesis consists of an Introduction and two main sections. In the Introduction section, the methodological approach of the study is explained, providing a general overview of Turkish studies conducted in Vienna, briefly discussing the history of Turkish studies in Austria, and offering informa-tion about the Vienna University Library. In the first section of our thesis, titled "Turkish Studies at Vienna Univer-sity Library," the books examined in the Vienna University Turkish Studies Lib-rary have been categorized into five sections: "Language and Linguistics," "Art and Archaeology," "General Bibliography Studies," "Folklore," and "Literature." The works in the library have been classified based on their publication in non-Turkish publishing houses. Considering the scope of the study, only a selected por-tion of the works has been analyzed analytically, while bibliographic information is provided for the remaining works. In the second section of our thesis, we provide information about the life of Andreas Tietze, who made significant contributions to the field of Turkish studies. In this section, a separate segment is dedicated to one of the important dictionary projects related to the Turkish language, namely, "Historical and Etymological Dictionary of Turkish in Turkey." We delve into the work on this dictionary, the researchers who contributed, and the historical stages of its publication. In the conclusion section of our thesis, the collected data is summarized, ge-neral assessments are made, and the conclusions drawn are presented.
