Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted in order to examine the effect of role uncertainty experienced by athletes on team integrity in volleyball infrastructure teams. The study was conducted on a sample group of 310 athletes between the ages of 13 and 18 who play in infrastructure volleyball teams operating in different provinces throughout Turkey. Dec. The sample group was selected by the kolayda sampling method and included athletes in the youth (U16-U18) and stars (U14-U16) age categories. The Turkish-adapted "Role Uncertainty Scale" developed by Beauchamp and Bray (2001) and the Turkish-adapted "Team Integrity Scale" developed by Carron, Widmeyer and Brawley (1985) were used as data collection tools in the research. In the analysis of the data, independent groups t-test, One Way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analyses were applied. The findings revealed that there is a negative relationship between role Deciency and team integrity. It has been found that the team integrity scores of female athletes are higher compared to male athletes. In terms of age groups, it has been determined that the perceptions of team integrity of athletes in the star category are stronger than those of athletes in the junior category. Variables such as playing time and match experience in the same team have created significant differences on role uncertainty and team integrity. In particular, it has been observed that athletes with less than 50 games of experience have a higher perception of role clarity. As a result, it was found that role uncertainty has a negative impact on team integrity, but this relationship differs depending on variables such as gender, age, position, and experience. These findings are a guide for coaches and sports managers working in infrastructure volleyball teams to clarify the individual roles of athletes and strengthen team dynamics. The research provides important information to support both the individual development of infrastructure athletes and to improve team performance
