Abstract (EN)

Due to the effects of sports such as ambition to win, social status and financial gain, intolerance, aggressive and angry behaviors may be observed in athletes. It can be said that aggression and anger in sports is an important problem that the world is interested in. The population of the research consists of 901 people who are active members of bodybuilding and fitness centers in Elazığ. The sample group consists of 260 participants. 'Personal Information Form', 'Aggression Scale' and 'Trait Anger Style' scale were used as data collection tools. SPSS package program was used to analyze the data. Since the data showed normal distribution, independent simples t-test and one-way variance (ANOVA) test were used to analyze the data. Pearson correlation test was used to determine the relationship between aggression and trait anger-anger styles. Linear regression test was used to determine the effect between the scales. In the statistical analysis, the significance level was accepted as p<0.05 to determine the difference between the groups. When the research findings are examined, it is seen that there are significant differences between the participants' aggression levels and age, gender and marital status variables. At the same time, it was observed that there were significant differences in the participants' trait anger styles and the variables of age, gender, marital status, and duration of exercise. It was observed that there were significant relationships between the aggression scale sub-dimensions and the trait anger-anger styles scale sub-dimensions.
