General properties of W UMa type sun-like eclipsing binary stars

Abstract (EN)
In this study, general properties of W UMa type sun-like eclipsing binary stars, which were obtained from literature, has been given. In application section, as an example, W UMa type binary star V829 Her was observed in the observational season of 2003 at the ÇOMÜ Ulupinar Astrophysics Observatory by photoelectrical^. The instrumental B, V and R light curves of the system were obtained and analyzed by using 1992 version of the Wilson-Devinney method. Then, the obtained results were discussed.
