Abstract (EN)

In Syria, the number of people in need of WASH assistance notably the ones in acute need have increased. This was even degraded due to the influx flow into IDP camps, particularly in northwest Syria. The aim of this thesis is to design a water distribution network and sewage network in IDPs camps. The design of the water network was based on a water well that will be used as a source of water. In designing the water network, the focus was on where to locate the water distribution units and how to design the water network and calculate the diameter of the pipe. The designed water network included the locations of a well, water distribution units, and the distribution pipes to transfer water from the well to water distribution units. The sewage network was designed using the google earth software and Sewer Cad is used to analyze the sewage system pipe lines, and the sewage network will link to the septic tank for primary treatment of the wastewater before disposal. The goal of this research was to create a complete model of water supply and sewage systems. the Pipe Flow Expert is utilized to calculate the characteristics of the camp's water supply system and the majority of the speed on the pipes fulfills the economic speed (0.5 to 1.0 m / s). A model was created for the sewage pipes by using slope data from Google Earth and evaluating the information. Each sewage pipe line is made up of many sections, each of which is 50 meters long and terminates at a manhole. Each section's slope should be between 0.022 and 12 percent.
